Ebb Tide by Leah Murray

Ex-Navy pilot Will Fletcher has returned home to the fishing village of Looe, Cornwall, and bought a pub. He’s done with the military, with trouble, and with women. All he’s interested in is living a quiet life in the country with his dogs and his boat.

Desperate to escape a traumatic past, veterinarian Jo Williams has fled her native New Zealand for Looe. She’s finding her new home rather lonely, but a relationship is the last thing she wants. After all, her stalker ex-boyfriend Jack is the reason she ran in the first place.

Yet when Jo meets Will the chemistry between them is undeniable, and it is clear that fate has her own plans for them. Unfortunately, so does Jack–and his include murder.

“Great romantic suspense! I was enthralled from the beginning. A veterinarian on the run and a pub owner full of angst and secrets. Grab a beverage of your choice, a sandwich and snacks because you will not want to break for food once you start. Extremely cohesive plot, fascinating characters, drama galore and steamy scenes that actually help move the plot along. This the first book I have read for this author but it will not be the last. I highly recommend this book. Yes, I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review and I honestly loved it.” JC, Amazon Reviewer

“OH MY GOD!!! I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! It was a fantastic story that gets you hooked from beginning to end. It has great characters. You have Jo, the beautiful veterinarian who used to be a happy-go-lucky and carefree person and now she's on the run from her ex and is filled with terror and anxiety and a shell of her former self. You have Will, the new friend who's broody, handsome, brave and will stop at nothing to protect her. Then you have Jack, the bat sh!t crazy, seriously scary psycho ex boyfriend who will really creep you out and keep you on the edge of your sanity waiting and wondering when and if he will show up and what he'll do because he'll stop at nothing to find her. It's a great, fast paced, page turning, stay up all night (like me) kind of book. I highly recommend it, you will not be disappointed. I voluntarily read for an honest review an Advanced Reader Copy of this book which I received for free but I would of happily paid for it!”
