Bitty and the Naked Ladies by Phyllis Smallman

When Bitty calls out to Sherri, they have an opportunity to catch up on each other's lives. But poor Bitty has a problem: things are disappearing, and she wonders if she is just imagining it. And if not, she doesn't want to blame the wrong person. They talk, and Sherri does a little sleuthing on her own to find the thief.

This was a great short mystery story of the choicepoint of being a good person or heading for the dark side. I wanted more, and I did not realize it was a short story until I was already reading it. But it was well written, and I would definitely read more of this author's work. Well developed characters and a satisfying ending.
