KINDLE UNLIMITED ALERT
The land-dwelling Erdlanders don’t know about her.
The amphibious Sualwets reject and resent her.
Serafay is an anomaly, an unwanted outcast from both worlds. Fearing the people who tortured and experimented on her mother’s waterborne race, Sera remains hidden and isolated, feeling like she doesn’t belong. When she meets a stranger, Tor, another misfit like herself, Sera realizes that she’s not alone, finally discovering a sense of home. With the war between the Erdlanders and Sualwets escalating, will Sera and Tor ever be safe from the dangers surrounding them?
Through a beautiful narrative that flows with the same nimble ease as the Sualwet characters. Powerful messages about war, cultural and racial differences that will sear the reader’s mind with the mighty fire of the A’aihea. The reader will enjoy the journey full of love and hatred. The complexity of the characters surprise, frustrate and give hope. The Erlander display much of what is wrong and what is right with the fabric of our own society today especially through aspects of war and prejudice. I personally love when a great read a great escape through other worlds also conveys strong messages applicable to the world today and the author does this beautifully.
